The cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin in D.C. are still just shy of their peak. A cooler spring has kept them from reaching full bloom, which will happen this week.

The weather is starting to get nice here!
Cherry blossoms continue! 🌸 Framed by these delicate flowers, the Jefferson Memorial casts a picturesque reflection on the water of the Tidal Basin. Dedicated in 1943 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the architecture of this marble memorial is on full display with its many columns and domed roof. While appreciating the various views, be prepared for crowds and please do not damage these gifts of goodwill. Photo at the National Mall and Memorial Parks courtesy of Jarrett Hendrix.
Anyone coming to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms?

Activists at the U.S. Capitol protesting proposed cuts in Social Security benefits known as the “chained CPI.” The proposal would reduce the cost-of-living adjustment seniors receive.
