We recently had an event on Capitol Hill where we delivered over 65,000 petitions to Members of Congress about not cutting Social Security and Medicare. Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator Bernie Sanders was there to share a few words about these programs.
The debates continue on the so-called ‘fiscal cliff’. Members of Congress recently met for a press conference to discuss the Chained CPI and how it’s a cut to Social Security.
Additionally, National Committee’s Rally Corps was there to let Congress know to keep their hands off Social Security!

Today, Max Richtman (President and CEO of the National Committee) spoke at an event asking Congress to fully fund the Social Security Administration.
Speakers included: Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Bob Casey, Nancy Altman, and other advocates.
Yesterday, activist groups, Senators, and Congressman, met on Capitol Hill to voice their support for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
